For most of the A-League clubs out there, last month was huge. Changes happened – and there were a lot of them. While most teams were hoping to adjust their strategies and winning elements, others focused on starting from scratch. These teams were resetting and rebuilding their button in an attempt to have higher chances of winning.

In this article, we will talk about some of the most interesting newly-crowned A-League players. And being new to the league, it is definitely worth checking out their essence in the game.

Roy O’Donovan – Brisbane Roar

If you are fond of betting, then you have certainly seen the sudden change in predictions concerning the Brisbane Roar. Well, in case you did not – or you are new to the betting world, you will know why this is happening. And it is actually due to the signing of Roy O’Donovan, a player who has proven his skills and talents at the Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners. Punters are even excited about what this guy can bring to the table, and most of these have resulted in a great outcome.

Most punters would typically steer clear from Brisbane Roar, especially since the team’s adds in the betting market were not as pleasing as others had. However, considering the fact that all they need is a Fowler-like poacher, things could change for the better. And O’Donovan is absolutely here to make these happen. Jai Ingham – Central Coast Mariners

Coach Alen Stajcic and his boys did not have a great experience, especially after the infamous 8-2 mauling they suffered last year. However, the former Westfield Matildas coach has found a way to mix up the pieces and find a better strategy moving forward. He believes that Ingham is the missing puzzle piece – and his arrival could just make things even sweeter.

The Kiwi winger is known for his reflex and speed, qualities which made him shine during his tenure at Melbourne Victory. Keep in mind that he managed to score at least three times during the Asian Champions League. What’s more, he was successful in scoring against the more popular Italian giants Juventus during their pre-season battle. There is no doubt that coach Stajcic will use Ingham in all of his strategies, especially since the 25-year old is determined to be triumphant.

Craig Noone – Melbourne City

Erick Mombaerts, the new head coach, is hell-bent on giving Melbourne City a fresh new look. And his plan is to bring someone who could turn things around. This is exactly why they chose Craig Noone, the titular English playmaker. Noone is a potential scoring machine as soon as he gets his rhythm going. Obviously, Mombaerts will expect this quality from Noone as the team definitely needs a winning strategy right now.

Mind you, Noone is a huge thing in the market. Remember that Cardiff City offered him £1million back in 2013. Also, this guy has managed to appear in English football for more than 380 appearances. Not only does he offer the ability to unlock opposition defences more efficiently, but he also has the much-needed experience which can be vital for Mombaerts and the rest of Melbourne City.

Nick Fitzgerald – Newcastle Jets

Newcastle was a huge disappointment during last year’s run. The team only managed to end the season with a silver lining. And while they have showcased an incredible fight against the Brisbane Roar, they certainly need a revamp. Besides, the young guns of the Jets have proven how powerful younger legs can be in both running and ball handling. Fortunately for these newer players, they will finally have someone who can guide and teach them the right ways – and this is because Nick Fitzgerald will be joining them.

Fitzgerald is another huge name in the league. Best known for his playmaking abilities, the 27-year-old star has recorded more than 174 Hyundai A-League appearances – all of which he did for four different clubs. This only goes to show just how much of an impact he brings to the field, and it is every coach’s dream to work with a player who is as passionate as Nick. With Fitzgerald’s arrival, it seems the Jets will finally be able to have more thrust.

Nicholas D’Agostino – Perth Glory

If there is one coach in the league that has been spoiled with the best players, there is no one that could beat coach Tony Popovic of the Perth Glory. And now, there is Nicholas D’Agostino, who also has his own array of attacking skills. He is the right sparkle that the team needs to dazzle their opponents and win big.

During the fight against the Korea Republic, the 21-year-old gave Australia its chances of getting to the AFC Asian Under-23 Championship after he fired a double 2-2 draw. There is no doubt that Nicholas will bring more shuffling options for coach Popovic, allowing him to have the much-needed flexibility for the team.
