Adelaide shock Brisbane at Suncorp

BRIvADEAn injury time header by Adelaide youngster Jordan Elsey provided the winning goal, as Adelaide took all three points in front of 17,593 fans at Suncorp Stadium.

A first half penalty was saved off the boot of Jeronimo Neumann, but the Argentine slid the ball under Michael Theo on the rebound to give Adelaide the lead. Later in the half, defender Diogo Ferreira was given his marching orders by referee Alan Milliner for a second bookable offence, leaving Brisbane with ten men for the remaining 50 minutes of the match.

With 10 minutes remaining in regulation time, however, a returning Besart Berisha levelled it up with a smart top corner finish past Eugene Galekovic.

But young defender Elsey was the hero, popping up with a well-taken headed finish to give Adelaide a late, injury-time winner.

Milliner must be leading the comp for the most number of cards in a game. Come on! 9 cards in that game? Don’t insult the supporters intelligence.
It must be a big prize they are going for
