Fantasy and Tipping: Season Wrap

Well, 29 weeks later and we come to the end of another A-League season. And, likewise, that means we have also come to the end of our Ultimate A-League Tipping and Fantasy competitions for 2011/12, proudly sponsored by Pelé Sports. Now, firstly, we’d like to thank everyone who took part in the fantasy and tipping competitions this season, and for reading our weekly fantasy wraps. Secondly, we’d like to thank Pele Sports for their involvement this season, without whom both competitions wouldn’t have been anywhere near as fun and competitive.

Fantasy Week 29 winner
Ok, before we announce our grand prize winners, we need to announce the winner of the weekly fantasy prize for Grand Final week. So, congratulations to Loretta Hutcheson who topped everyone in Grand Final week with an impressive 44 points. To claim your prize, Loretta, please send an email to enquiries@ultimatealeague.com.

Previous weekly winners
Some winners of the weekly competitions haven’t yet claimed their Pelé Sports prize! So, if your name is on this list, drop us an email at enquiries@ultimatealeague.com to claim your prize - Liam Ruz, Daniel Serra, John Muscat, Jason Tamburrini, Adam Torea, Warrick Betts, Caio Schumacher (who won twice), Jim Andris and Ryan Ward.

Now, drum roll, please…

Fantasy Grand Prize winner
In the end, one fantasy manager this year stood out from the pack, and ended up winning our competition by over 100 points. So, with a grand total of 1408 points which also made him the number one fantasy manager worldwide, the winner of the Fantasy competition for 2011/12 is Justin Civitillo. Congratulations to Justin on a fantastic season, and taking home the grand prize of a pair of Pelé Trinity boots. To claim your prize, Justin, please send an email to enquiries@ultimatealeague.com.

Tipping Grand Prize winner
The tipping competition was a much closer affair, with most tipsters and pundits agreeing that the A-League continues to be one of the most difficult sports leagues in the world to tip winners. Despite that, though, a total of 69 tips for the season (out of a possible 142) was the best in our league, and it was blueboy9 with the winning total that also had him ranked 29th overall in the world. Congratulations to blueboy9 on a terrific season of tipping, and for winning the grand prize of the signed Pelé jersey. To claim your prize, blueboy9, please send an email to enquiries@ultimatealeague.com.

Congratulations to our winners, and to everyone who took part in our tipping and fantasy competitions this year. See you all next season!
